Robert Huang
President and Co-Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Huang founded SYNNEX in 1980 and serves as President and Co-Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Prior to this, Mr. Huang was the International Sales Manager at Advanced Micro Devices. Mr. Huang holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Kyushyu University, Japan, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester and an M.S. in Management Science from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
Kevin Murai
Co-Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Murai joined SYNNEX in March 2008 and serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with co- leadership responsibility for all aspects of the business. As a seasoned executive, Mr. Murai has more than 19 years of distribution channel experience with focused expertise in global management, operations, information technology and customer relationships. Prior to SYNNEX, Mr. Murai was President and Chief Operating Officer of Ingram Micro. During his nineteen-year tenure at Ingram Micro, he held a series of senior management positions in all aspect of the Company’s operations and was responsible for the integration of Ingram Micro’s former U.S. and Canadian regions as a single management team. Mr. Murai holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo in Ontario.
Peter Larocque
President, U.S. Distribution
Mr. Larocque has held a variety of sales positions since joining
SYNNEX in 1983. In 1993, he was promoted to Vice President
of Sales,
and became the Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 1994.
In 2001 he was promoted to Executive Vice President, Distribution responsible for product management of SYNNEX' branded systems
division. In 2006 he was promoted to President of U.S. Distribution. For the past several years, Mr. Larocque has also been responsible
for product management of SYNNEX' branded products, including
the Communications, Networking and Peripheral product divisions.
Mr. Larocque received a B.S. degree in Economics
from the University of Western Ontario, Canada in 1983.
Jim Estill
Chief Executive Officer, SYNNEX Canada
Limited
Mr. Estill joined SYNNEX Canada Limited in September 2004
as Chief Executive Officer after the acquisition of EMJ Data
Systems Limited by SYNNEX Canada. Prior to joining SYNNEX Canada,
Mr. Estill founded EMJ in 1979 and was President and Chief
Executive Officer of EMJ. Mr. Estill built the company into
a leading Canadian value distributor with a focus on niche
markets such as auto-ID/bar code/point-of-sale, networking,
Apple systems and accessories and supplies. During his 25 years
at EMJ, Mr. Estill grew EMJ to a staff of over 300 people,
CDN $330 million in annual revenues as of FY2004, and 99 consecutive
quarters of profitability. Mr. Estill sits on the board of
directors of several companies, including Research In Motion
(RIM). Mr. Estill is a graduate of the University of Waterloo,
Ontario, with a B.A. Sc. (Systems Design Engineering) degree

Dennis Polk
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Polk joined SYNNEX in 2002 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance and Chief Financial Officer. In 2006, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. He previously held the position of Vice President of Finance at DoveBid Inc., a capital asset disposition services firm. At Savoir Technology Group, Inc., a computer systems distributor and contract manufacturer, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Savoir, Mr. Polk was Audit Manager for Grant Thornton LLP. A graduate of Santa Clara University, Mr. Polk received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Thomas Alsborg
Chief Financial Officer
Thomas Alsborg joined SYNNEX in March 2007 as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to SYNNEX, Mr. Alsborg was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Solectron Global Services, a division of Solectron Corporation. During his ten-year tenure at Solectron, he held management positions in corporate finance, investor relations, treasury and financial reporting and analysis. Prior to Solectron, he was with McDonald's Corporation and a CPA with Ernst & Young. Mr. Alsborg received an MBA from Santa Clara University, a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Oral Roberts University and he is a Certified Public Accountant.
Christopher Caldwell
Senior Vice President, Global Business Development
Mr. Caldwell joined SYNNEX in 2004 as Vice President, Emerging Business, from the EMJ Data Systems, Ltd. purchase in Canada, and has been instrumental in assisting SYNNEX in its build-out of value-add services and business model diversification. During his tenure with SYNNEX, Mr. Caldwell was responsible for overseeing the integrations of EMJ in Canada and launching EMJ in the US, financial operations in Canada, the consumables sales operations for the US, and handling third-party logistics vendors. From 1988 – 2000, Mr. Caldwell was President and CEO of Coral Tech, a systems integration business. He has received numerous rewards and recognition for his entrepreneurial approach to business.
Adam Carroll
President of New Age Electronics
Mr. Carroll joined SYNNEX in March 2008. Previously, he served as co-founder and president of New Age Electronics, Inc. before its acquisition by SYNNEX Corporation. Mr. Carroll has more than 25 years of experience in the consumer technology industry. Mr. Carroll played a key role in positioning New Age as a leader in channel management solutions with top consumer electronics manufacturers including Hewlett-Packard, Kodak and Panasonic. His expertise ranges from manufacturing and distribution to logistics and product recovery. Mr. Carroll product knowledge stems from an extensive background in consumer electronics, office products and supplies. Prior to founding New Age, Mr. Carroll worked at Entertainment Marketing, a computer peripherals distributor, and Stanlee Distributors - Zemex Corporation, a national consumer electronics distributor.
Charlotte Chou
Senior Vice President, Manufacturing Operations
Ms. Chou currently serves as Senior Vice President, Manufacturing Operations, and is responsible for the Contract Assembly division at SYNNEX on a worldwide basis. Previous to this position, Ms. Chou served as Vice President, OEM Manufacturing Operations since December 2000. Ms. Chou joined SYNNEX in 1997 as Director, OEM Business, in which she contributed three years of outstanding performance, which led to her promotion as Vice President. Prior to joining SYNNEX, Ms. Chou held a variety of management positions for a number of high-tech companies such as UMAX Technologies, ITT Information Systems (Alcatel), and Pitney Bowes. Her broad background includes 20 years of industry experience in manufacturing operations, program management, product marketing and product/software development. Ms. Chou holds a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Feng-Chia University in Taichung, Taiwan and an MBA from Mankato State University in Minnesota.
David Dennis
Senior Vice President, Product Marketing
Mr. Dennis currently serves as Senior Vice President of Product Marketing for HP product offerings. Previously, Mr. Dennis served as Vice President of Product Management for the HP product lines. He has held a variety of sales and product management positions for the company since 1994. Prior to SYNNEX, Mr. Dennis held the position of Manager of Sales Operations for Conner Peripherals where his customers included top tier distribution accounts. Mr. Dennis graduated from California State University, Chico, in 1984 with a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing.
Gary Gulmon
Chief Information Officer
Mr. Gulmon joined SYNNEX in 1982. He has worked in various accounting, finance, and IS positions while successfully moving from manager to director and now, Chief Information Officer (CIO). Mr. Gulmon graduated from San Jose State University in 1984 with a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting with a minor in Math.
Stephen Ichinaga
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Systems Integration
Division
Mr. Ichinaga joined SYNNEX in 1984 and has held a variety of Sales and Product Management positions within the company. In October, 1999, Mr. Ichinaga was promoted to Vice President of Business Development, focusing on manufacturing and outsourcing relationships and was promoted in 2001 to Sr. Vice President, Systems Integration focusing on our System Builder and OEM customer segment. In 2006, Mr. Ichinaga was promoted to Sr. Vice President and General Manager, Systems Integration Division. Mr. Ichinaga manages the Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Design and Integration departments for this division. Mr. Ichinaga received a B.S. in Managerial Economics from the University of California - Davis.
Steve Jow
Senior Vice President, Commercial Sales
Mr. Jow currently serves as Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales and is responsible for distribution sales in the United States. Previously, Mr. Jow served as Vice President of Western U.S. Distribution Sales. Prior to his promotion to Vice President, Mr. Jow served as Associate VP of Distribution since Sept 1999. He has held various sales and management positions within the company, with a major emphasis on managing large format Direct Marketers, Retailers, and Outbound VARs. Mr. Jow joined SYNNEX in 1990. Prior to joining SYNNEX, Mr. Jow was in charge of purchasing and assets for a financial VAR in San Francisco, CA. He has a total of 17 years experience in the computer industry. Mr. Jow attended San Francisco State University.
Pradip Madan
Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development
Mr. Madan joined SYNNEX in March of 2007 as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development. Prior to SYNNEX, Mr. Madan was President of Microland Limited, an approximately 1,600-person IT infrastructure management and technical support services company where SYNNEX has a strategic investment. Earlier, he was the founding Chief Executive Officer of Rivio, a company that built SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) applications for SMBs. He also served as Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Adaptec. Mr. Madan received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, an M.S. degree in computer science and a B.S degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.Sc. degree in physics from St. Stephen’s College at the University of New Delhi.
Mitchell P. Martin
President, Broadline Division, SYNNEX Canada
Mr. Martin was appointed President of Merisel Canada and with the subsequent acquisition by SYNNEX, became President, Sales and Marketing for SYNNEX Canada Limited in September 2001. Prior to this, he joined the Products department in 1989 where he was instrumental in moving many of the industry's largest suppliers to a two-tiered distribution system, and held a number of sales and marketing management positions within the reseller channel. Mr. Martin graduated from York University in Toronto with a Master's degree in Business Administration, with emphasis in the areas of product marketing and product management.
Tim Moore
Chief Operating Officer, SYNNEX Canada
Mr. Moore joined SYNNEX in May 2007. Previously, he served in the same capacity at Redmond Group of Companies (RGC) before its acquisition by SYNNEX in May 2007. Prior to joining RGC, Tim spent 23 years in the consumer packaged goods industry. Mr. Moore began his career in marketing and has held various positions in marketing and sales in Canada and the United States. He spent 18 years with The Clorox Company, culminating in his role as President and General Manager of Clorox Canada for 8 years. Mr. Moore has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Gary Palenbaum Senior Vice President, Consumer Electronics
Mr. Palenbaum joined SYNNEX in 1999 and has held numerous positions with increasing responsibility during his tenure. In 2007, Mr. Palenbaum was promoted to Senior Vice President, Consumer Electronics. He is primarily responsible for cultivating and increasing SYNNEX’ growing presence in CE distribution. With approximately 24 years of management experience and a comprehensive IT and CE industry knowledge base, Mr. Palenbaum is ideally suited for this role.
Tim Rush
Senior Vice President, Operations
Mr.
Rush served as Vice President of Operations since 1997 and
was promoted to Sr. Vice President of Operations in 2001. He
previously held positions as Vice President of Merisel FAB,
Inc., Director of Procurement and Vendor Relations, and Director
of Inventory Quality of Vanstar Corporation. From 1983 - 1994,
Mr. Rush held various Sales Management positions at Infomax,
Inc. Mr. Rush received a B.S. degree in Management and an A.S.
degree in Computer Studies from Keene State College in 1983.
Robert Stegner
Senior Vice President, Marketing, North America
Mr. Stegner joined SYNNEX in September 2007 as Senior Vice President, Marketing, North America. He is responsible for all marketing efforts in the United States and Canada. With over 18 years of progressive channel marketing/sales management experience, Mr. Stegner is a seasoned professional whose marketing leadership has generated tremendous results throughout his career. Prior to joining SYNNEX, Stegner most recently served as Vice President of Worldwide Market Development for Ingram Micro Inc. Prior to that, at Ingram Micro, he was Vice President of North American Channel Marketing and U.S. Product Marketing, where he led the U.S. product marketing team in developing programs, goals and strategies. He was responsible for all channel programs focused on the small-to-medium business (SMB) and the Government/Education markets, as well as, reseller services.
Michael R. Thomson
Senior Vice President, Partner Advocacy
Mr.
Thomson currently serves as Senior Vice President, Partner Advocacy and is responsible for the SYNNEX Partner Advocacy Program, Sales Administration and Customer Service. With a strong background in leading world-class service organizations, Mr. Thomson provides value to our internal programs designed to ensure our sales employees have the necessary tools and training to effectively manage our valued relationships with our customers and partners. Mr. Thomson joined SYNNEX in May 1996 as Vice President of Eastern U.S. Sales and later became Senior Vice President, Marketing and Services. Mr. Thomson came to SYNNEX from Gates/Arrow Distributing where he was Vice President of Sales since 1992. Prior to his tenure at Gates/Arrow Distributing, Mr. Thomson was General Manager for Modern Office Machines, a Value Added Reseller. He was General Manager with responsibilities for managing five locations, and he worked extensively with IBM, Compaq, Apple, HP, and NCR Corporations. Before entering the computer distribution industry, Mr. Thomson was in Sales and Management with Pitney Bowes and NCR Corporation, with a total of 20 years experience. Mr. Thomson attended Spencer College and Barstow Junior College.
Fred Towns
Senior Vice President, Sales, New Age Electronics
Mr. Towns joined SYNNEX in March 2008. Previously, he served as senior vice president of New Age Electronics, Inc. before its acquisition by SYNNEX Corporation. With an extensive background in consumer technology including digital photography, home theater and digital convergence, Mr. Towns was instrumental in expanding distribution partnerships with Kodak and Panasonic and signing additional contracts with such vendors such as Sharp and Samsung. He was responsible for sales, marketing and operations supporting distribution, logistics and product recovery. In addition, Mr. Towns was responsible for web-based training tools and e-commerce initiatives to better support vendors and retailers within the consumer technology channel. Prior to joining New Age, Mr. Towns was a senior vice president at Panasonic, where he progressed through the company in a series of senior management positions. Mr. Towns has creatively designed and implemented new channel strategies, including executing dealer agreements polices, converting small direct dealers to distribution partners and creating on-line programs for internal and external training.
T.J. Trojan
Senior Vice President, Peripherals
Mr. Trojan joined SYNNEX in 2007 as Senior Vice President, Peripheral. With over 24 years of industry experiences, Mr. Trojan is a seasoned operations executive with experience leading sales, customer service, product development and marketing organizations. During his tenure at NEC Display Solutions of America, Inc. and other NEC-affiliated companies, he held many positions ranging from Account Manager to, most recently, the President of NEC Display Solutions of America, Inc.
Michael P. Van Gieson
Senior Vice President, Product Marketing
Mr. Van Gieson joined SYNNEX in 1997 as Assistant Vice President of Product Marketing and was promoted to Vice President of Tier One Product Marketing in 1999. He is responsible for developing and aligning strategies for U.S. sales and value-added services and also is responsible for sales and marketing for SYNNEX' key vendor partners. Mr. Van Gieson received a B.S. degree in Administrative Management from Clemson University in 1979 and has held several executive positions in the distribution industry, including Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Merchandising at Gates/Arrow Distribution and at Liuski International.
