FREMONT, CA — January 30, 2003— SYNNEX Information Technologies, Inc., a global information technology (IT) supply chain services company, recently announced an expansion to their current agreement with Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) that will enable CA to offer its world class software solutions through SYNNEX’ License Online web-based software licensing platform. These sales will be accomplished through an Agent model, which is a referral reward program.

Through the utilization of the License Online platform, SYNNEX targets an emerging class of integrators, solution providers, consultants, influencers, and advisors who account for the majority of its 44,000 customers. These advisors recommend products and solution sets to their customers, rather than carrying inventory. Vendors compensate advisors by awarding an agent fee. This growing channel segment has a strong presence in the small-to-medium (SMB) market.

Featured in the offering will be CA’s award winning eTrust security solutions, including the eTrust Antivirus solution family, as well as its comprehensive BrightStor storage management solutions, including the industry-leading BrightStor ARCserve Backup v9.
