SYNNEX Corporation to Offer Enterprise Storage Solutions from HP

FREMONT, CA — January 13, 2005 -- SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX), a global IT supply chain services company, announced today that SYNNEX’ distribution agreement with HP has been extended to include the HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) family of storage systems. SYNNEX is authorized to sell these products to solution providers within the United States. Solution providers will require HP certification to become an authorized reseller for these products.

Under the agreement, SYNNEX will distribute HP’s line of enterprise virtual array systems, including the HP StorageWorks EVA5000 and EVA3000 storage arrays. These storage area network, or SAN, solutions offer high-performance, high-capacity, and high-availability RAID storage solutions to enterprises running mission-critical IT applications and are ideal to run in heterogeneous operating system environments. SYNNEX will also distribute HP StorageWorks Enterprise Systems Library (ESL) E-Series Tape Libraries offering both best-in-class drive and cartridge density.

“The inclusion of HP enterprise-level storage systems in our line-up of product offerings is further indication of our growth strategy to diversify and expand upon a wider range of enterprise-level solutions and services offerings to our solution providers,” said John Paget, President of North America and Chief Operating Officer of SYNNEX Corporation. “We want to support our solution providers with a broad spectrum of enterprise class products and managed services that enable them to be well-positioned to address the needs at the higher end of the marketplace, and we are pleased to now offer HP StorageWorks solutions as a part of this initiative. We will work closely with our solution providers to become certified to sell these products. We look forward to building upon this growth opportunity with HP.”

“SYNNEX brings a solid commitment of resources and expertise to building a successful enterprise business by focusing on net new sales for HP,” said Dave Pansen, Vice President of U.S. Distribution Sales, HP. “SYNNEX’ significant volume of HP server sales affords important opportunities for storage attachment, especially as industry-standard servers continue to gain momentum as application platforms.”
