Seagate is pleased to announce our entrance into the Notebook market segment with the release of our Momentus product line.
As part of our global strategy, Seagate will limit the distribution of Momentus products through a select, exclusive group of Regional Notebook Champions.
Product Overview
Momentus is a single-disc, 9.5-mm high notebook drive that spins at 5400
RPM and is available in 20- or 40-Gbyte capacities. The standard configuration
has a 2-Mbyte cache; Momentus also has an 8-Mbyte-cache option to deliver
desktop-like performance for notebook computers. Another awesome feature—Momentus
consumes the same battery power as a 4200-RPM drive. Momentus is the
first notebook drive to combine high performance with 4200-like power.
In
addition, Momentus will carry a standard three-year warranty.
