E-Business Method Options: with SYNNEX:
All methods are interchangeably usable. For example, customer can place orders via web (ECExpress) or phone, while receiving invoices via EDI.

XML (Extensible Markup Language)
New generation of business data interchange via Internet. Even we feel that there is no need to replace EDI with XML -- as long as our existing EDI processes satisfy the business requirements -- we occasionally utilize XML in place of some EDI processes, due to the benefits of real-time response and a self- explanatory file feature.

EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
The communication of orders, invoices and similar transactions electronically between organizations using a standardized format, set by the American National Standard Accredited Subcommittee X12 (ANSI ASC X12). SYNNEX Online Connexions’ benefits include exchange of EDI documents with customers via traditional VAN (Value Added Network) or via Internet (standard FTP protocol, no proprietary client packaged required). We support ANSI X12 v.4010 standard.

FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
Basic method of transmitting file via internet; ideal for customers with no EDI/XML capabilities. (Many refer to FTP as exchanging ‘flat file’ over Internet.)
